What this module is

The SYPM4KP is a Symmetra LX power module: one of the modular power stages that slot into a Symmetra frame to make up the system's capacity. A modular UPS is built differently from a monolithic one. Rather than a single fixed inverter, capacity is assembled from power modules in a frame, so the system can be sized to the load today and grown later by adding modules rather than replacing the whole unit. It also changes what a failure looks like. A failed module in a populated frame takes out its own share of capacity rather than the system, and it is replaced as a part rather than as an outage.
