1300G-1USB ships as a USB kit: the ivory Hyperion 1300g scanner and a 3 metre USB Type A straight cable. That is a working USB scanner out of the box, host powered, with nothing else to order and nothing to configure for the common case, because in USB keyboard-wedge mode scanned data arrives at the host as though it had been typed. Three metres is generous enough to reach a host under a bench or on a shelf above it. Motion tolerance is 20 inches per second, so codes can be swept rather than lined up. Note the maximum is 660 mm, not the metre some listings claim.

Lifecycle and Replacement

Honeywell has placed the Hyperion 1300g on its discontinued products list, with an end-of-build date of September 2025, a last renewal date of December 2025 and end of service in December 2028. The named replacement is the Voyager XP 1470g. It is worth knowing that the 1470g is an area imager rather than a linear one, so it is an upgrade rather than a like-for-like swap: it reads everything the 1300g reads plus 2D codes and codes on screens. Remaining 1300g stock suits fleet matching and spares where an existing configuration is working and should not be disturbed.

Part number 1300G-1USB is the ivory housing with a USB cable included. The equivalent part number ending -N is the Mexico-assembled build, which is the TAA-relevant one for US federal, state and GSA business.
